ACI hosts several meetings for members throughout the year. The ACI Convention is held each year in January, providing a networking opportunity for the industry and including a charity duck race. There are also gatherings for committee meetings in the spring and fall. Thanks to our event sponsors for their support.

ACI also attends many conferences and takes part in awareness days throughout the year.

Environmental Safety Assessment of Topical Antiseptic Compounds

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, use of certain topical antiseptic compounds—specifically benzalkonium chloride (BAC), benzethonium chloride (BZC) and chloroxylenol (PCMX)—had increased due to the phase-out of triclosan and triclocarban in soaps and other cleaning products. On behalf of ACI, Ramboll completed an environmental safety assessment for the target antiseptic compounds, as a proactive measure to provide an appropriate science-based context for future environmental monitoring results.
