SUMMARY/PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
The Junior Project Manager plays a vital role in supporting internal operations and coordination of projects across the Institute. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual eager to develop and expand their project management skills. The Junior Project Manager is responsible for maintaining ACI’s membership database as well as assisting in managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This role requires exceptional organizational and attention to detail skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Associates degree with a minimum of three (3) years’ project management experience, preferably in a trade association.
- Strong task prioritization, organization, time management, critical thinking, decision-making, and proofreading skills required.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems from multiple perspectives.
- Ability to interact in a diplomatic and tactful manner with members, stakeholders, and staff, as well as having a strong penchant for collaboration and teamwork.
- Must be dependable, flexible, hard-working, and have a positive attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines within limited time.
- Ability to think strategically and set priorities to achieve assigned objectives and goals.
- Proficiency in Windows and MS Office; experience with project management software e.g., Microsoft Project, Monday.com, and website design (HTML/CSS, Bootstrap) is a plus.
- Experience with membership databases preferred.
- Ability to travel on occasion.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in developing and managing project schedules, including tasks, timelines, and budgets.
- Work closely with issue managers to track progress of projects against goals, objectives, approved budgets, and timelines.
- Assist in analyzing project data to identify areas for improvement and advise on corrective actions.
- Communicate project status and progress to issue managers, staff, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Facilitate project-related meetings, document meeting minutes, decisions, and action items.
- Accurately input and update data in membership database.
- Conduct regular data audits for consistency, accuracy, and completeness, identifying and correcting errors as needed.
- Coordinate with IT to generate routine and ad hoc reports from the database, as requested.
- Create and update websites for events and ensure all essential information and options are included on the website.
- Assist with proofreading Convention and meetings web content and programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SALARY RANGE
$60,000 – $70,000
