- ACI Duck Race Takes Place During the 2022 ACI Convention, January 31-February 5 in Orlando, FL
To commemorate National Rubber Ducky Day, January 13, ACI is excited to announce our return to an in-person Charity Duck Race during the 2022 American Cleaning Institute (ACI) Annual Meeting & Industry Convention.
The Duck Race will take place February 2 during ACI’s Convention Week, January 31-February 5 at the Grande Lakes Orlando in Orlando, Florida.
Duck race enthusiasts flock each year to the lazy river for the Charity Duck Race, sponsored by Shell Chemical LP. Decorated ducks "swim" down the Lazy River towards the finish line with their cheer squad on the sidelines, raising money for the charity Clean the World.
Clean the World is a leader in global health, recycling discarded hygiene products and distributing them to communities in distress around the world.
"ACI, our member companies and Shell Chemical LP place a high priority on programs and partnerships that help provide better living for individuals, families and communities," said Melissa Hockstad, ACI President & CEO. “That’s why we are proud to highlight and support the mission and efforts of Clean the World, especially while we are still battling the coronavirus pandemic.”
Attendees and members are encouraged to purchase a duck to participate in the race and help ACI reach its $30,000 donation target. Buy an individual duck, a pair of ducks or a Quack Pack (5 for the price of 4) by visiting the ACI website.
