- ACI Supports Student Service Project to Assist Families in Need
The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) partnered with the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) to support a new national community service project that donated 2,000 laundry detergent packets to families in need.
At AAFCS’ recent national conference, family and consumer sciences professionals donated laundry detergent packets for Clean for a Cause, an AAFCS student community service project. Those products were donated to the Family Gateway Center in Dallas, Texas, a local shelter for children and families in need. ACI provided safety information to help ensure proper use of those products.
"Once again, the American Cleaning Institute has demonstrated leadership and community support by sponsoring the AAFCS Student Unit laundry packet community service project," said Carolyn Jackson, CFCS, AAFCS CEO. "This was the 44th year that ACI has exhibited at the AAFCS Conference and supported our mission and programs, with an important focus on cleanliness, and we highly value the collaborative relationship built between our two organizations over the years."
