ACI Connects at AAFCS About Accident Prevention and Supports Student Service Projects!
The American Cleaning Institute® (ACI) met with more than 700 family and consumer sciences educators about accident prevention in the home during the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences’ (AAFCS) 108th Annual Conference & Expo.
For 44 years, AAFCS has worked with ACI to share educational messages and information related to the safe and proper use of cleaning products and home safety with individuals and families. Throughout this year’s Conference and in the exhibit area ACI was able to share program information with FCS professionals in the work that they do, strengthening our partnership and exploring new ways to ensure that accurate information is communicated.
During the Conference, ACI partnered with AAFCS to support a new national community service project that donated 3,000 laundry detergent packets to Clean for a Cause, (an AAFCS student community service project). The laundry detergent packets were donated to Family Gateway Center in Dallas, Texas, a local shelter for children and families. ACI provided safety information to ensure the proper handling, use and storage of the laundry packets.
"Once again, the American Cleaning Institute has demonstrated leadership and community support by sponsoring the AAFCS Student Unit laundry packet community service project," said Carolyn Jackson, CFCS, AAFCS CEO. "This was the 44th year that ACI has exhibited at the AAFCS Conference and supported our mission and programs, with an important focus on cleanliness, and we highly value the collaborative relationship built between our two organizations over the years."
