Always Aware

  • Daily disinfecting of all frequently-touched surfaces and objects.

Keep Clean

  • To reduce the spread of germs, especially on frequently-touched surfaces, clean the surface first to remove dirt and grime, let the surface stay dry, then disinfect.
  • Access soap and running water or sanitizers to promote routine water personal hygiene habits after:
    • Using the bathroom
    • Unpacking deliveries
    • Touching frequently-touched objects

Stay Safe

  • Don't mix cleaning products.
  • When using any cleaning product, read and follow label directions.

Workplace Cleaning Checklist

Evaluate your place of business:

☐ Disinfect frequently-touched surfaces and objects on a daily basis

☐ Continue to update your cleaning

 

Optimize your workplace cleaning routine:

☐ Promote personal hygiene, including a place to wash hands with soap and running water; offer hand-sanitizer stations; post hand-washing signs in restrooms

☐ Maintain routine cleaning and disinfecting of frequently-touched surfaces and equipment

☐ Handle deliveries with care:

  • Request “no-contact” delivery options when available and immediately dispose of outer packaging
  • Wash your hands after unpacking

 

Keep safety top-of-mind:

☐ Follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the label to ensure safe and effective use of cleaning and disinfection products

☐ Keep all disinfectants and cleaning products safely stored out of reach of children

Disinfecting Guide

1. Before Disinfecting

  • Choose an EPA registered product.
  • Read the directions before use and follow them.
  • As directed, preclean dirty surfaces.

2. Use It

  • Never mix products.
  • Only use on approved surfaces.
  • Never ingest products or use directly on skin.
  • Leave on for the entire contact time.
  • Do not let children handle products.

3. After Disinfecting

  • Rinse food contact surfaces after disinfecting.
  • Throw out disinfectant wipes after using. Never flush non-flushable products.
  • Look to the label for instructions on how to discard leftover product.

4. Store It

  • Always store up and out of reach of children.
  • Store disinfectants in their original containers with the labels intact.
  • Store at a safe temperature.

Handwashing Reminder

1. Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold), turn off the tap, and apply soap.

2. Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap.

Tip: Be sure to lather the backs of your hands, between your nails.

3. Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds.

Tip: Hum the "Happy Birthday" song from beginning to end twice.

4. Rinse your hands thoroughly under running water.

5. Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them.
