ACI Presents: The Rulemaking Climate Heats Up: SEC's Proposed Rule on Climate-Related Disclosures

The SEC recently released its long-awaited 510- page proposal on climate-related disclosures. This proposed rule is the first time public companies in the United States (and foreign private issuers reporting here) would be subject to such detailed disclosure requirements. In this session, we will provide an overview of what the proposed rule means for SEC registrants and the proposal’s key elements, including disclosure of climate-related risks, governance and risk management, GHG Emissions Disclosures (scope 1 and 2 emissions and scope 3 emissions), and the significance of the proposed rule for companies with net zero goals.
