Dr. Kruszewski is Senior Director, Human Health and Safety at the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) where his duties focus on the human safety, toxicology, and public health issues relating to cleaning products and their ingredients and to related activities on research, regulations, and outreach. Prior to joining ACI in 2001, he worked as a Staff Scientist for The Gillette Company for seven years and as a Senior Research Toxicologist for Avon Products, Inc. for four years. In these positions he supervised and implemented the research, development and application of in vitro toxicological testing methods as animal alternatives for product testing.
Dr. Kruszewski’s academic background was in microbiology, chemical carcinogenesis, and toxicology. He received a Masters degree from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey (1978), a doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin (1987), and has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology since 2003.
